Closure of Link Radio

It is with regret that after being in operation for more than 30years, a decision has been made to take Link Radio off air and to close the charity. This has been a very hard decision to come to and not one that has been taken lightly. Our world has changed considerably since our late chairman, John Brennan, first started Link Radio and now we are finding our audience has changed and moved on.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our volunteers who have over many years given their time freely and enthusiastically helping to make Link radio into the success it was.

Without these people, to many to mention by name, Link would not have been possible. We would also like to thank the many other charitable organisations who have over the years made donations to the charity to help with the running costs, our thanks also go to the many London Marathon runners, who have raised money to help the charity, without their help and continued support we would not have been able provide our service for the past 30years and more. A special thanks to Castle Point Borough Council, for all their help in finding a site suitable to run Link Radio. It has been a pleasure to serve the residents within the housing schemes in Castle Point. Thank you from everyone in the Link Radio Team.
